Amazing changes are possible within the next few decades, where social complexities like hunger and poverty, and a concurrent increase in the worldwide standard of living are all within our grasp.
I just finished reading Ronald Clark’s Einstein: Life And Times. It was a birthday gift from my wife, two years ago. I was destined to start reading it last month. What follows is not a book review, though it may seem so to some readers, but gleanings which overwhelm, inspire, touch one’s heart and stand out as beacons for generations to come.
There can never be a better analogy of the “One as Many,” which many religious texts propound than the refracting prism. Physicists would go the whole hog to study the phenomenon of refraction and explain how and why a rainbow is formed, while measuring refractive indices of violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red light, and relating each of these to that of white light. But, how many look beyond physics and attempt to understand the associated metaphysics?
Paradise and Utopia are fictitious, figments of imagination which an idealist would use in his/her novel to depict and stimulate the goodness that lies inherent in each of us. Paradise and Utopia are like two perfectly-meshing gears, taking turns at being the driver and the driven.
The argument will never end on the science, or no science, of astrology, and vice versa. Perhaps, Shakespeare understood the dilemma admirably, when he wrote in Hamlet, “There are more things on Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in our philosophy.”
When we continuously chant a mantra or do japa, every matter, it is believed, evolves — from the smallest DNA strand in our body to the great continents on planet Earth.
The Earth is a great spiritual being encompassing all life. You may, therefore, call it the physical manifestation, or body, of our spiritual intelligence. Besides, there’s more to the Earth’s mysterious gymnastics, or Cosmic dance, and its interchanging polarities, including our new spiritual upsurge with credence to stall the looming threat of possible destruction.
We all emerge from gross materialism [body]. All of us, therefore, should aim for the right blend of physical, emotional, and spiritual advancement in life. This is imperative for our lop-sided, or skewed, socio-economic system to incrementally metamorphose into its completest form — harmoniously and [w]holistically.
It is not necessary that one should possess awesome talent or gift of power to energise the chakras. All one needs to do is — be sensible and sensitive to our subtle levels.
200 years after his birth [February 12, 1809], Charles Darwin’s work is hugely surprising, powerful and illuminating. It holds the key to the future of our life and philosophy — controversy, or no controversy.
